Well, I dunno about the more literate part, lol. But I do have what some folks call a musical ear, which has come in handy with languages from time to time. And I like rhymes. A lot of this, especially the end words, you can figure out just from the rhyme pattern. It's like a limerick puzzle, where you just KNOW what the last word is going to be, based on the rhyme and rhythm patterns.
I would maintain though, that based on that rhyming pattern, this was written by someone in the United States who lives West of the Mississippi (east of the river and in the northern midwest, haunt most certainly rhymes with aunt), and it's hardly authoritative on the "proper" pronunciation of a lot of these words that have regional variations. For example, here in the Pacific Northwest "caught" and "cot" sound the same, but that's not the case everywhere.
Still haven't sat down to record this, lol. I really will!
