I'm treating LM more like a television series, where each part is its own episode... :)
My BB isn't the only thing to have a big word count. I've written original fiction that's easily 120K, 80K, 90K, 105K. I tend to think in terms of "books" instead of "fics" or even "short stories" (mainly because all my ideas want to grow up to become books).
Decide what you want to do with your original fiction when you're done :) Worry about finishing it first.
