Yet another conversation (and metrics)
Ok, this will be my last conversation snippet for a while, you're probably sick of the lack of actual content, but I thought this was funny:
Conversation with the spouse: We have to change our dinner with your mom and dad from Saturday to, I don't know, Sunday. Do you want to go out for dinner on Sunday?
Me: I don't care. It's dinner. Wait. What are we doing on Saturday?
Spouse: Not we. Me. I forgot Saturday was B movie night over at C's.
Me: Oh, all right. Well, email my mom and let her know.
Spouse: You do it.
Me: Why don't we just go on Friday? Then I'll make the pizza I was going to make on Friday on Saturday instead.
Spouse: That's B movie night. Weren't you listening?
Me: I was listening, are they going to feed you?
Spouse: Yeah, of course. It's C. He's a compulsive mother hen. He feeds everyone.
Me: In that case I'll make the pizza on Sunday night.
Spouse: You can't, that's when we're having dinner with your parents.
Me: No, you're changing it to Friday, remember?
Spouse: You do it.
Me: No, you do it.
Spouse: It's your mom.
Me: It's your birthday dinner.
Spouse: You have your laptop open.
Me: I don't have my email open. (...) Wow, that's pretty sad, neither one of us wants to tell mom that we want to see them sooner rather than later. She'll be so disappointed in us. Yeah, I should tell her the bad news.
Spouse: Great, so you'll email her?
Me: No, you are, you dumbass. Quit trying to make me do the dirty work.
Anyway, in metric news, I am up 3,000 words by the skin of my teeth, but I also have a map of... something. I was starting to lose track of where everyone was.
