BB Draft Zero

I am calling it a monstrous, horribly bad Draft Zero, and I feel horrible for my betas and my artist, because they're going to have to read it in this condition, but I am sick, sick, sick of the BB fic right now, and I need a break from it.

The Draft Zero wordcount?  133,654.

I still feel bad, because it seems like everyone else on my friends list has at least 20k done, and I've been neglecting my BB for awhile. I'm just worried that I bit off more than I can chew because that 12k? Is still in the beginning stages of the story where they still kind of dislike each other. I fear for what sort of beast this thing will be, meep.

Ah, so instead of Shakespeare, they type fanfiction! IT'S PURE GENIUS!

Don't feel bad! Everyone has their own way of doing things and write at their own pace (mine apparently is "get it done the fuck now").

Do you have your outline written out? If you do, you should look at it; if you don't, you should write one. Either way, once you have one, it might help you to see what you still have to write and how to get to the end?

They're a special breed of monkeys who love Merlin. That's why the fanfiction! I keep my Shakespeare monkeys at another facility...

I think my problem is that I've been so caught up in my hs_merlin, I had to find my drive for my BB again.

I didn't at first (because usually my stories are so short that they don't require outlines), but I've started making one and find it really does help. Even if it's so disorganized and probably wouldn't make sense to anyone else.

Ooh, can you imagine if the two types of monkeys got together for a Merlin/Shakespeare fusion? Romeo & Juliet would be too cliche, but I could see The Taming of the Shrew...

My outlines make no sense to anyone else, either! There are arrows going in every direction! It's a giant mindmap that goes nowhere!

But I'm happy to hear you're getting back into your BB!

..

And

I did not need this new plot bunny. *frowns*

Because I have a tendency to write the dialogue before everything else, mine is filled with random phrases, like, “I hope the dog goes for your face first.” “…What dog?[...]Merlin. What. Dog.” and the like, haha!

...

*twirls villain mustache* MWHAHAHA!

Every now and then I get great lines of dialogue... that don't fit in the scene I'm writing at the moment. It's IRRITATING. But I save them for when they're supposed to be written.

Also.

No. I refuse. No Shakespearean Merlin. NO.

*chases plotbunnies away*
