Missed metrics

I seem to have neglected the metrics again, so here they are:

Friday: 2,000
Saturday: 4,500
Sunday: 2,500
Monday: 3,000

Yesterday, I had a brief flail-moment because I wrote fluff, and I wanted to delete it all.  Fortunately, I was talked down from the ledge, but it still bothers me that it's there, and I figured out why -- I don't have any build-up in the previous chapters that lead to this particular scene.  At some point I will have to go back and add more words.  This is on top of already having to add more words to tie up a few loose strings, and deleting/rewriting a subsection of words because I am not ready to write this other scene.

At the moment, I'm so annoyed with Part... um.  Right, I'm writing Part 9 (I forgot for a second)... I'm so annoyed with Part 9 that I might have to strip it of the nice shiny title that I'd come up with before I even started writing.  The truth is I might strip it anyway, it no longer seems to apply.

Damn it, LM.  Why do you have to pick now to throw a tantrum?  Is this because of the BB plots I came up with?  You can't possibly be jealous of them.  They won't hardly stack up to your word count and convoluted plot and staying power.  They'll come and go in 30,000 words.  What?  No, I won't promise that.  You know what I'm like.  I might say 30,000, but it'll end up more like 60,000, and -- hey, where do you think you're storming off to, young man?  Don't you dare slam that door --!

Your metrics continue to amaze me. How do you manage it? You make throwing out a couple of thousand words (a day) sound so easy. And it's not. I don't know how you do it, but you have my respect. ;D

It's not easy, I know. There was a time I could barely squeak out 500 words a day, then I couldn't look at it for days or weeks. The more I wrote, the more it became a habit, and look where it got me!
